The physical defense decreases the damage taken by melee and ranged attacks. To calculate how much damage you'll take using the physical defense, use the following formula: damage taken = enemy damage - (physical defense / 10) For example, a monster attacks you with 300 damage. You're having physical defense of 1000. The final damage taken will be: 300 - (1000 / 10) = 300 - 100 = 200 Many people underestimate this stat, but actually it is very useful to have high physical defense, especially for classes like Templar or Cleric. |
