Fregion is the first server to be added after the very successful launch of Aion. A European server and an East Coast North American server are also on the way. The name of the new server is Fregion. That name has its origin in ancient Atreian lore, taken from the one Drakan that sparked history-altering pretension in the Balaur Empire, eventually leading to the Epic Cataclysm.

The new server started with high popularity and again with long login queues. NCSoft knows about the problem and are working on balancing the servers. They think that adding new servers can make some of them underpopulated. Probably they don't know much the game is popular and long waiting even before the release.
