Source of the Pollution - Part 9 - Poisonous Bubblegut

I already don't like this quest, I've had to go back and get more potions for this quest because of its trickiness. Every time I use the Slime Immunity Medicine, Poisonous Bubblegut just reapplies Spout Sticky Protection Fluid. Giving me barely 2 seconds to try and hit the creature with an ability.
Now, I'm currently a ranger trying to do this and it is not working for me. I don't know if its bugged or what but like I said, the creature just instantly and constantly casts Spout Sticky Protection Fluid. Just 2 of these potions isn't cutting it for me.

If I remember it right (and I'm not talking about another quest) there was some item that I need to use in a place, in order to summon that slime. Unfortunately the quest was bugged and the item was unable to be activated. After some time I decided to try switching the channel and that finally helped me.

Btw, get a healer with you if you're afraid of potions!

Even if I had a healer with me, it would take an hour to try and kill Poisonous Bubblegut by just wailing on it without the two potions. I can easily kite the slime around without getting hit, that is not the point. The point I am trying to get accross is the problem of Poisonous Bubblegut constantly casting and reapplying Spout Sticky Protection Fluid so you can't do more than 1 dmg per hit.

By the way, Poisonous Bubblegut is not a summoned creature, it is already waundering around in a pool of corrupted water along with the other slimes.
