We have now set up the gallery to allow users to upload their own content. How do you do that?
1. Go to the gallery 2. Go to your personal album. You may have to set this up if you have never used it before. http://i29.tinypic.com/15miu6r.jpg 3. At the bottom of the page their is a scroll menu. Select add item from it. ![]() 4. You will see a page with a box for "File" and "Caption". For the file browse to the directory of the image you wish to upload. On the caption please put down a short description of the screenshot, e.g "this is me fighting some mobs outside of Morheim" ![]() Extra.) if you wish you may hit "upload more" if you wish to upload more than two images at once. You may upload as many as you want. 5. Check "create thumbnails now" and hit the add items button. ![]() Success!

How come it doesn't work if you go to you're own profile and add new albums and images that way? I've done it that way twice on seperate occasions and none of the images upload and/or load successfully. It only seems to work when you create albums and upload images this way. Why bother having the option to do so in a account profile if it doesn't work? Could it need maintenance?
I already have uploaded into my own gallery with this method you have described here. I'm just wondering why the other method, going to ones account profile, does not work. |

Here is what I'm presonally doing.
1. Click on Gallery link. There should be "Your Album" link. If it doesn't exists then logout and login again. You can find logout link in the forum. 2. At the bottom of the page, just above the "Add Comments" box there is drop down menu - click on it. 3. There are options like "Add Album", "Add Items", etc. so just choose one. e.g. "Add Items". 4. There are several options for uploading images. The Web Browser option works for me for sure. Just select one or more images using the "Browse" button. Finally click on the Add Items button below. One more thing. You can even use the uploaded images in your posts or even external forums. 1. Open the image in the original or 640x??? resolution. 2. Right click on the image and select Properties. 3. Copy the full URL Address. It's somehow long. 4. Try pasting it in the browser to see if it works properly. 5. Use the address in the forum or whetever you want. For example here is the address of the image I just uploaded: http://www.onlineaion.com/gallery2/m...serialNumber=4 And here is the same but full size: http://www.onlineaion.com/gallery2/m...serialNumber=3 Last edited by kasummi; 04-02-2010 at 05:50 PM. |
