Quest Description

You used to be able to journey to Alukina's Palace. The sea itself floated in the air! Anair Lighthouse lit the path for Daevas to wing their way there. Sadly, the Quartz Lens disappeared from the lighthouse and the way has been lost. It's heartbreaking, really.

Pirates. Only scum like that would sink so low. They stole it and buried it in their den or some other hidden retreat. If only we could find the lens... We're hampered by the fact that most of those pirates are long dead.

There might yet be a way. I've heard some rumors that might point you in the right direction. Years ago, before ...well...before this was a frozen waste, Baugi was a pirate. To his credit, he's worked hard to make up for it. He might know something that could help. Ask Baugi about the lens--see what he knows.

Yes, it's true--I used to be a pirate. I was young and I needed the work. It wasn't like a career. I never even bloodied my sword. Mostly I swabbed decks and stayed out of everyone's way.

Quartz Lens...I heard rumors, but I never saw it myself. If I had to name names, I'd bet that Captain Hinden was involved. He met a pirate's end, but I hear his spirit still gives orders... Go to the shipwreck in Anair Harbor. If you can find Captain Hinden, you might find your next clue.

The Quartz Lens of Anair Lighthouse disappeared long ago, taking with it the way to Alukina's Palace. Sleipnir believed that pirates stole the Quartz Lens, and asked you to interrogate Baugi, a former pirate. Baugi told you that Captain Hinden, a notorious pirate, was almost certainly the culprit and suggested you look for him. When you defeated the ghost of Captain Hinden, you found a letter with a clue to the location of the Quartz Lens. You found the Quartz Lens and re-lit the lighthouse, thrilling Sleipnir.

kasummi   |2010-01-10 20:14:13 First you need to kill the captain. He's somewhere around the Anair Ice Lake. He's a ghosty man, not hard to find, and not too hard to kill. I did it at level 37. Once you kill him, he'll drop a letter. Double click on it to read it. The text there is scratched but the idea is there is written where to find the Quartz Lens. And this is the hard part, to find the lens. You have to look for the lens in Anair Harbor. Somewhere at the top of it, while looking at the map. Reply | Quote 1 0

You have to find the correct one, otherwise a monster will appear which you need to kill. The correct box, containing the Quartz Lens is on the top of a crate. Reply | Quote 0 0

kasummi   |2010-01-11 18:38:40 To install the Quartz Lens, go to the lighthouse through the spirit guards. There are no bosses or elites, so it's actually easy. Inside there are no monsters, so just walk up the lighthouse. When you reach the top, you may be confused as there is nothing. Just wait a bit and a lift will soon arrive.
